Key Responsibilities of the HGV Driver Role
- Delivering products to our customers as scheduled by the dispatch manager.
- Complete all delivery paperwork at the time of delivery.
- Before completing any driving, you must carry out routine daily walk-round checks and record accordingly.
- Responsible for keeping the cab and mixer clean and tidy.
- Responsible to be driving within the current tachograph laws.
- Maintain and reconcile stock of consumable items, e.g. mortar bags, covers etc.
- Report all spillages and accidents if and when required.
- Collect cash payments upon delivery and secure them safely.
- Ensure you work to the Health and Safety requirements.
- Open and lock up sites on early deliveries.
Essential Skills and Experience
- HGV Class 2 Licence.
- Driver CPC completed to date.
- Good knowledge of the Northern Ireland road network, Belfast in particular.
- Effective organisational skills.
- Ability to work on your own initiative.
- Good communication skills.
- Team player, enthusiastic, working well with work colleagues.
- Customer-focused, always striving to give outstanding customer service.
- Desirable Skills and Experience.

- Experience working in the concrete/construction industry. -
- Experience driving a truck mixer.
